Had some issues Friday getting iMovie to recognize what appear to be "outdated cameras". My plan was to get a view of my project before I took it to school for further work on Final Cut. I went to the apple site and got a list of recognized cameras, and it is a pretty slim list. Surprisingly, just when I was about to give up, the camera was finally recognized. Maybe my computer sensed my frustration.
Anyways, after looking at my footage, I decided it really sucks. Been in kinda of a weird place lately regarding many things, one especially being art. I feel a bit lost lately, like I'm not sure where I'm going, and why I do it. As lame as it sounds, I was really into changing the world through art. Art as a political weapon, I thought. In terms of action, my views have really shifted lately. It used to be about getting the word out there, in all of its graphic manifestations, and by any means necessary to provoke and challenge. I don't know anymore. I feel like it doesn't real matter either way. Like it's all headed in the same direction anyway, so what's the point.
So now I'm left without much motivation, which is only going to sabotage my work since my project is set to go. I'm hoping that I can resolve this as I'm working, maybe I can still achieve pleasing results from a completely different perspective.
