Just watched the documentary, "Dr. Money and the Boy with No Penis", disturbing to say the least. If your into it here's another that examines the work of Freud, it's affect on western culture, and its inevitable backlash. It's a bit longer than the docu, but it's equally fascinating. Called the "Century of Self", Adam Curtis.
Also, check out, "Pandora's Box, subtitled A fable from the age of science, is a six part 1992 BBC documentary television series written and produced by Adam Curtis, which examines the consequences of political and technocratic rationalism".
